Power of Attorney (POA) is a document that gives us the authorization to debit your shares from your demat account whenever you sell your shares (settlement). Without such a power, you would need to send us a physical delivery instruction slip or transfer shares to our settlement account prior to us allowing such a sale.
You may contact your relationship managers to send you a POA document for your signatures.
Due to the Covid disruption, such documents may take time to reach us in originals.
Thus if you are holding a PL DP Account but have not been able to deliver a POA to us, no problems! You will still be able to place delivery sell instructions by using the EDIS facility (maximum cap of Rs 75 lakh sales per day).
