Muted Debut Below Issue Price

Shares of iValue Infosolutions made a lacklustre market debut, listing nearly 5% below the issue price. On the NSE, the stock opened at ₹284.95, while on the BSE it started at ₹285, compared to the issue price of ₹299 per share. This resulted in immediate notional losses for investors, with a single lot of 50 shares worth ₹14,950 at issue price dropping to about ₹14,248 on listing.

IPO Details and Subscription

The ₹560.29 crore IPO was entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 1.87 crore shares, meaning no fresh capital was raised. Funds went directly to existing shareholders, including promoters and early investors. The price band was set at ₹284–₹299 per share. The IPO received a modest overall subscription of 1.82 times. Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) showed stronger interest, subscribing 3.18 times, while Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) and Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) subscribed 1.26 times and 1.28 times respectively.

Why the Listing Fell Short

The weaker-than-expected listing reflected signals from the grey market premium (GMP), which remained nil ahead of debut, indicating a flat to discounted start. Analysts noted that the absence of fresh capital through the IPO reduced investor enthusiasm. Broader market volatility and muted retail participation further weighed on sentiment.
