History of Kusum Agrotech Ltd
Kusum Agrotech (KAL), a Calcutta-based company, was incorporated on 6 Sep.'91 and commenced business on the same day. The company has been promoted by the Dugar group headed by B R Dugar. At present, Pramod Dugar is the chairman and managing director. Other group companies of KAL are Kusum Products, Herbicides India, Kanak Projects, Vivek Fertilisers, etc. In Apr.'94, the company came out with a public issue at par, aggregating Rs 4.60 cr, to part-finance a Rs 15.9-cr project to set up a solvent extraction-cum-refinery unit at Kota, MP. The solvent extraction plant is capable of processing 400 tpd of soyabean seed or 300 tpd of mustard seed. The refinery is capable of processing 50 tpd of crude solvent extracted oil. KAL plans to expand its capacity to produce refined sunflower oil. ...
