The Jhaveri & Shah families formed a partnership firm in 1961 to commence their new venture by establishing Rerolling Mill at Ahmedabad in 1961. Later on, in 1965 Ahmedabad Steelcraft Limited originally was converted into a Private Limited Company as 'Ahmedabad Steelcraft And Rolling Mills Pvt. Ltd.' Further in 1973, besides common Re-Rolling product, it expanded its product range by introducing Mild Steel Window, Door and Ventilator section. Gradually on mastering the technique, it further added more than 70 verities of various section in making of Mild Steel Window Door Ventilator all over the Globe. Subsequently the name of the Company was changed to Ahmedabad Steelcraft Limited in January, 1989. Presently, the Company is engaged in the business of Trading of Steel and Electrical items ...and providing EPC services.
The Company had a lot of teething troubles at the initial stage in getting rolling technology and due to non-availability of raw materials. Thereafter, it initially started operations by manufacturing the most commonly used structurals like rods, flats, etc, and gradually gained expertise to roll hi-tech sections. Subsequently, it ventured into rolling more complicated sections and full range of ISI, British and Belgium Standard sections.
The Company diversified the business and started bright bar division for manufacturing special profiles and shapes of high precision for textile machinery manufacturers. The company's windmill, which closed down due to severe cyclone in June, 1998, starting functioning in June, 1999.
During 2000-01 the company restarted the Second Rolling Mill.
The Company after having a firm hold in local market for many years, started exporting its product initially to South East Asia in market of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Hong Kong. Gradually with the time it expanded the export activity in various countries like United States of America, Canada, U.K., Turkey, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda, Singapore, Egypt, Nigeria, Iraq, Australia, New Zealand, Mauritius, Gambia, Caribbean Island, South Africa. At present, it exports its sections to Fabricators, Contractors, Builders, Engineers in the above countries directly for fabricating them into Steel Doors, Windows and Ventilators.
Mr. Rohit Pandey and Mr. Sunil Dutt Pandey have acquired 27,76,832 equity shares of old promoters and became the promoters of the Company through the open offer in accordance with SEBI (SAST) Regulations, 2011 in 2025.
