History of B C C Fuba India Ltd
BCC Fuba India Limited was incorporated in September, 1985 with the objective to manufacturing of Printed Circuit Board. The Company originated as a joint venture with Fuba Hans Kolbe & Co., Germany, Europe's largest PCB manufacturer, and DEG, a prominent European financial institution in the Indian market in 1990. The Company is the single largest manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in Europe. DEG is a German financial company established for investment in developing countries. Together, these two collaborators held about 20% of the Company's equity. The facility was equipped with state-of-the-art machinery imported from Germany, Italy, France, the UK, the USA, and China. This technological foundation combined the world's best manufacturing and quality control processes with unique methods developed by Fuba Hans Kolbe & Co. BCC Fuba manufactures professional grade PCBs- multilayer boards, double sided and single sided. As on 31 Mar.'96, the Company's Net Worth had eroded more than 50% of the peak net worth of the Company. During the past five years, the company was making losses due to the violation of 75% buy-back agreement by BCC's foreign collaborator; low demand for indigenous PCBs and the severe competition from the competitors and various other reasons.
