Damodar Industries Limited was originally incorporated as 'Damodar Threads Limited' on 11th December 1987 as a Private Company to manufacture Synthetic Blended Yarns. The Company was converted into Public Company and name of the Company was changed to Damodar Industries Limited dated 22 January, 2023. Company has a strong market presence and a history of expanding its manufacturing capabilities. The company is known for its extensive experience in the fancy yarn segment and has cultivated strong relationships with customers and suppliers, leading to a stable market position. This improvement is further driven by the receipt of government subsidies and the anticipated realization from the sale of its Dadra Plant. The company has also invested in advanced machinery by installing 1420 Rotors for producing specialty Open End Yarns and Italian Branded machines for producing exclusive yarns for home textiles and sweater market. The company has installed enabling it to produce a wide array of value-added yarns and enhancing its position as one of India's largest manufacturers in this sector. The Weaving Plant with 32 Picanol looms with other preparatory machines at Daman Factory was made operational in November, 2004. The setting up a doubling plant of fancy yarn at Silvassa became operational in May, 2005. 14,400 spindles were put to operation during 2006-07.
