Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026 in the Lok Sabha today at 11 am, marking her 9th consecutive Union Budget, with markets, businesses and households closely tracking the timing and key announcements.
The Budget speech will begin at 11 am sharp, in line with the post-2017 convention of presenting the Union Budget on February 1. Given the significance of Budget Day, Indian stock markets are open for a special trading session, allowing investors to react to announcements in real time.
Once the Budget speech concludes, all official Budget documents- including the Finance Bill, Expenditure Statement and Budget Highlights- will be made available on the government’s official website and mobile app.
