The initial public offering (IPO) of SBI Funds Management continued its strong run on the final day of bidding, with the Rs 9,813 crore public issue subscribed over 14 times as of 2:20 pm on July 16, according to data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Subscription Status Across Categories
The issue received bids for 1,74,45,03,904 shares against 12,45,63,536 shares on offer, as per NSE data. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) segment led demand with subscription of 32.04 times. The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) portion was subscribed 20.17 times, while the Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) category was subscribed 3.01 times.
Grey Market Premium and Listing Expectations
Market sentiment around the issue remained strong, reflected in its grey market premium (GMP). According to market tracking platforms Investorgain and IPO Watch, the GMP for SBI Funds Management stood at Rs 92 per share as of July 16. This indicated a potential listing gain of about 16% over the upper end of the price band of Rs 574, suggesting a listing price of around Rs 662 per share.

Issue Structure and Price Band
The company set its IPO price band at Rs 545 to Rs 574 per equity share. The public issue was an entirely Offer for Sale (OFS) of 20.37 crore equity shares, meaning the company itself will not receive any proceeds from the offering. The entire amount will accrue to the selling shareholders, State Bank of India (SBI) and Amundi India Holding.
