Gujarat Poly Electronics Limited (GPEL) was initially established as Gujarat Poly-Avx Electronics Limited in 1989. The Company was promoted jointly by Polychem Ltd, AVX Corporation of U.S.A. and Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation Limited (GIIC). The name of the Company was changed from Gujarat Poly-Avx Electronics Limited to Gujarat Poly Electronics Limited in 2017. GPEL was established to manufacture Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) in both leaded and SMD configurations at the Electronic Zone in Gandhinagar. Over time, the product portfolio expanded to include Single Layer (Disc) Ceramic Capacitors (low and high voltage) and Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) etc. The Company is a subsidiary of Polychem Ltd. Presently, the Company manufactures Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors in Radial, Axial & SMD Configurations, Single Layer Ceramic Disc Capacitors both High & Low Voltage & Metal Oxide Varistors. The complete Plant & Machinery has been imported, installed & setup with AVX Support. Subsequently, the Company transitioned to an outsourced manufacturing model, sourcing products under its own brand from international suppliers while maintaining stringent quality standards.
