Incorporated as a public limited company in Dec.'93, Sangam Health Care Products was promoted by Rayalaseema Concrete Sleepers Pvt Ltd and Isco Track Sleepers Pvt Ltd, both of the Patil Group of Industries. The company set up a project at a cost of Rs 1496.07 lac to manufacture disposable intrvenous sets (I V sets) and needles with an installed capacity of 20 mln IV sets and 90 mln Needles. The plant is located at Yellampet, Andhra Pradesh. Commercial production commenced in Oct.'95. In Jan.'96, the company issued 43,60,000 equity shares to the public, aggregating Rs 436 lac, to part-finance the project. The project has been implemented and the production commenced from Mar'96. The company has a technical collaboration with Boin Medica Company, South Korea. Other than participating in the equity of the company to the extent of 15.20%, the collabortors also assist in exporting 50% of the production, through their existing marketing network all over the world. The company has installed two new plants for manufacturing Syringes & Scalpvein Sets with capacity of 25 million & 7.5 million respectively. During the year 1999-2000, the company has achieved a remarkable turnover of Rs.1560.96 lacs as compared to Rs.995.37 lacs in the previous year i.e. recorded a growth of 56.82%.
