Shares of e-commerce enablement platform Shiprocket listed on the stock exchanges on 19 August 2026 at a strong premium to their ₹97 IPO price. The stock opened at ₹131 on NSE, a premium of 35.05%, and at ₹129.50 on BSE, a premium of 33.51%. Following the listing, the company’s market capitalisation stood at around ₹9,422.13 crore. 

How did the listing compare with the GMP? 

Shiprocket’s market debut came in almost in line with grey market expectations, which had anticipated a listing gain of around 36-37%. The actual NSE premium of 35.05% and BSE premium of 33.51% landed close to, though slightly below, this range.

What was the subscription status of the IPO? 

The ₹1,617.5 crore IPO was subscribed 99.38 times over its bidding period, from 12 to 14 August 2026.

The company had set a price band of ₹92-97 per share. Ahead of the IPO, Shiprocket raised ₹727.41 crore from anchor investors. 

How will Shiprocket use the IPO proceeds? 

Shiprocket plans to utilise the net proceeds from the issue, estimated at ₹941.20 crore, towards growth investment and marketing initiatives across its Core and Emerging businesses, technology infrastructure and capabilities, repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings including accrued interest, and inorganic growth through unidentified acquisitions along with general corporate purposes.

Backed by Temasek and Zomato, Shiprocket has evolved from a shipping service provider into a full-stack e-commerce enablement platform serving direct-to-consumer brands and micro, small and medium enterprises. The company operates across two segments, Core Business and Emerging Business. 

Its core business includes domestic shipping and shipping applications. Its emerging businesses comprise cargo and fulfilment, cross-border shipping, advertising and marketing solutions, capital solutions and hyperlocal deliveries. On an annualised FY26 basis, the company reported losses at both the operating and net levels.
