Prasol Chemicals, a Maharashtra-based manufacturer of acetone- and phosphorus-based speciality chemicals, will open its initial public offering (IPO) on 8 September 2026. The company aims to raise up to ₹500 crore through a combination of a fresh issue worth ₹80 crore and an offer for sale of up to ₹420 crore by promoters and other existing shareholders. The price band has been fixed at ₹643 to ₹676 per share, and the issue closes on 10 September 2026, with listing on BSE and NSE tentatively set for 16 September 2026.

The issue comprises 73,96,437 equity shares of face value ₹2 each, split between a fresh issue of 11,83,431 shares and an offer for sale of 62,13,006 shares. The anchor book will open for a single day on 7 September 2026, ahead of the public issue.

Prasol Chemicals’ IPO is priced in a band of ₹643 to ₹676 per equity share of face value ₹2 each. The lot size for an application is 22 shares, taking the minimum investment for a retail investor to ₹14,872 at the upper end of the price band.

What Does Prasol Chemicals Do? 

Incorporated in 1992, Prasol Chemicals manufactures acetone- and phosphorus-based speciality chemicals, along with other speciality chemicals such as surfactants, performance additives, ethers, esters, polymers and acids that are not based on acetone or phosphorus. The company has a portfolio of 150 speciality chemical products used across industries including performance chemicals such as lubricant additives and mining chemicals, paints, inks, construction and adhesives (PICA), pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and home and personal care. 

In FY26, acetone-based speciality chemicals contributed 43 per cent of revenue, followed by phosphorus-based speciality chemicals at 38 per cent and other speciality chemicals at 18 per cent. Prasol Chemicals competes with listed companies including Aarti Industries, Laxmi Organic Industries, Vinati Organics and Privi Speciality Chemicals. 

What Are Prasol Chemicals’ Financials? 

Prasol Chemicals reported a standalone profit of ₹83.1 crore on revenue of ₹1,232.5 crore for the financial year ended March 2026. 

On a consolidated basis, profit rose to ₹43.6 crore in FY25 from ₹18.1 crore in FY24, while revenue increased 15.5 per cent to ₹1,012.5 crore from ₹876.6 crore. 

How Will Prasol Chemicals Use The IPO Proceeds? 

Prasol Chemicals will use ₹60 crore from the net proceeds of the fresh issue to repay debt, against outstanding indebtedness of ₹343.7 crore as of 15 July 2026. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes. The entire proceeds from the offer for sale will go to the selling shareholders, not the company.
