Kanohar Electricals Ltd, an Uttar Pradesh-based transformer manufacturer, will return to the stock market with a ₹1,055.74 crore IPO opening on 8 September 2026, sixteen years after voluntarily delisting its shares in 2010. The company will offer shares in a price band of ₹601 to ₹632 per share, valuing it at around ₹5,004.6 crore at the upper end. 

What Was Kanohar Electricals’ Earlier Listing History? 

Kanohar Electricals’ shares were first listed in 1995 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Delhi Stock Exchange and the Uttar Pradesh Stock Exchange. The company voluntarily delisted from all three exchanges in 2010, citing low liquidity and trading volumes, according to its red herring prospectus (RHP). 

What Is The Kanohar Electricals IPO Issue Size And Structure? 

The Kanohar Electricals IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹300 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 1.19 crore shares by promoter entity K Sons Family Trust, amounting to ₹755.7 crore at the upper price band. 

What Is The Lot Size And Minimum Investment For Kanohar Electricals IPO? 

Investors can bid for a minimum of 23 shares and in multiples thereof. At the upper price band of ₹632 per share, the minimum investment for retail investors works out to ₹14,536, while the maximum investment is ₹1,88,968.

What Does Kanohar Electricals Do? 

Promoted by IIT alumnus Dinesh Singhal, Kanohar Electricals manufactures transformers and also undertakes engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in the power transmission and distribution segment, including turnkey substation and transmission line projects. It operates two manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh, at Rithani and Gangol, with a combined transformer manufacturing capacity of 19,200 MVA. In FY26, the transformer business accounted for 83% of revenue and EPC for 16%, with the remainder from other activities. As of March 2026, the company had an order book of ₹1,818.3 crore. It operates in a segment that includes listed players such as Hitachi Energy India, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Schneider Electric Infrastructure, CG Power and Industrial Solutions, Transformers and Rectifiers (India), and GE Vernova T&D India. 

What Is Kanohar Electricals’ Financial Performance? 

Kanohar Electricals’ revenue rose 45.1% to ₹653.8 crore in FY26 from ₹450.6 crore in FY25. Profit for the year nearly doubled to ₹129.7 crore from ₹65 crore in FY25. 

How Will Kanohar Electricals Use The IPO Proceeds? 

Of the ₹300 crore fresh issue, ₹64.1 crore is earmarked for capital expenditure, including new machinery and equipment, civil construction and interior work on an office building at the Gangol facility, solar power plants at its manufacturing facilities, and electric trucks and forklifts. Another ₹155 crore is earmarked for incremental working capital, with the balance to be used for general corporate purposes.
