Who Is Anup Bagchi, HDFC Bank’s New Chief Executive?
Anup Bagchi will formally take charge as HDFC Bank’s managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) on October 27, 2026. He joined the bank’s board as an additional director on October 2, 2026. Bagchi currently serves as CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
He earlier held senior roles at ICICI Bank, India’s second-biggest private lender, where he oversaw the retail and wholesale banking businesses.
