Changes from the Previous IPO Proposal

German Green Steel and Power had earlier proposed a fresh issue of ₹450 crore along with an OFS of 20 lakh shares.

Under the revised IPO structure, the fresh issue has been reduced to ₹290 crore, while the OFS has been reduced to 10 lakh shares. The revised structure changes the proportion of funds being raised through fresh equity and the shares being offered by existing shareholders.

The company had also raised ₹49.62 crore through a pre-IPO placement in September 2025. During this round, it issued 18.38 lakh shares at ₹270 per share.

Purpose of the Fundraise

A significant portion of the IPO proceeds will be used to support the company’s expansion plans.

Around ₹226.3 crore from the fresh issue is proposed to be utilised for the expansion of the Samakhiyali manufacturing facility and the development of a hybrid wind and solar power plant. The company plans to use around ₹7.7 crore for debt reduction, with the balance earmarked for general corporate purposes.

The proposed renewable power infrastructure is also expected to support the company’s energy requirements as it expands its manufacturing capacity.

Capacity Expansion Plans

German Green Steel and Power company is undertaking capacity expansion across its major product categories.

The company’s sponge iron capacity is proposed to increase from 66,000 MTPA to around 1,48,500 MTPA. MS billet capacity is planned to increase from 2,14,500 MTPA to 4,12,500 MTPA, while TMT bar capacity is expected to rise from 1,81,500 MTPA to 3,46,500 MTPA.

The expansion is intended to increase the company’s production capabilities and support its future business requirements.
