Shares of eight major Indian companies, including Larsen & Toubro, L&T Technology Services and Havells India, are set to turn ex-dividend this week, with announced FY26 payouts ranging from Rs 0.80 to Rs 40 per equity share. 

What Does It Mean for a Stock to Turn Ex-Dividend? 

A stock turns ex-dividend on the date from which new buyers no longer qualify for the most recently announced dividend. Investors must hold the shares on or before the record date to receive the payout. The ex-dividend date and record date are usually the same under the T+1 settlement cycle in India.

Great Eastern Shipping turns ex-dividend on May 20 for its fourth interim dividend of Rs 11.70 per equity share for FY26. The stock last closed at Rs 1,682. 

ITC Hotels turns ex-dividend on May 21 for a final dividend of Rs 1 per equity share. The company announced the payout alongside its Q4 and FY26 results on May 15. The stock last closed at Rs 153.65. 

Larsen & Toubro has declared a final dividend of Rs 38 per equity share for FY26. The engineering and infrastructure company announced the payout on May 5, with both the ex-dividend and record date fixed for May 22. The stock last closed at Rs 3,911. 

L&T Technology Services has announced a final dividend of Rs 40 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at its annual general meeting. The ex-dividend and record dates are May 22. The stock last closed at Rs 3,570. 

Havells India turns ex-dividend on May 22 for a final dividend of Rs 6 per equity share, announced on April 22. The stock last closed at Rs 1,199.9. 

L&T Finance turns ex-dividend on May 22 for a final dividend of Rs 2.75 per equity share. The company said the payout will be completed by June 27, ahead of its AGM on May 29. The stock was last trading at Rs 280. 

Himadri Speciality Chemical and  Jindal Saw are also scheduled to turn ex-dividend on May 22, with final dividends of Rs 0.80 and Rs 2 per equity share, respectively. Himadri’s payout remains subject to shareholder approval at its AGM on June 11. Jindal Saw’s payout is scheduled for June 28. 

Outlook 

Most of the announced dividends are scheduled for disbursal in June 2026, following the respective company AGMs. Investors looking to qualify for the payouts must hold the shares on or before each company’s record date.
